BEREA, OH (September 10, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve women's volleyball team finished in sixth place at the Eighth Annual Marcia French Memorial Tournament at Baldwin Wallace College this weekend. In the first consolation round, Case defeated Oberlin College 30-13, 30-21, 30-16 to advance to the fifth place match against Hope College. The Spartans were defeated by Hope 30-15, 30-17, 30-19 for the sixth place team finish.
In Friday night's pool play action, the Case women's volleyball team lost to Mount Union College 17-30, 13-30, 34-32, 26-30. The Spartans also lost their second match of the evening to Kenyon College by a score of 26-30, 23-30, 30-24, 31-29, 12-15.
Case will take on Baldwin Wallace College this Wednesday, September 14 in a 7:00 p.m. match at the Veale Center.
