CLEVELAND , OH (October 22, 2004) - The Spartans lost their first match of the Kenyon College Invitational to the host school Kenyon,
30-21, 29-31, 20-30, 30-25, 15-6. Case bounced back in their second match on Friday night by defeating Bluffton College
30-24, 30-26, 30-22.
On Saturday, the Spartans lost their opening match of the day to Denison University
33-31, 30-23, 30-26. Case battled back in their last match of the tournament to defeat Washington & Jefferson College
32-30, 26-30, 30-22, 27-30, 15-7.
Heidelberg College took home the tournament title going 4-0, while Case finished 2-2 to claim fourth place. Junior outside hitter Heather Nappi (Ashtabula, OH) was named to the All-Tournament team.
Case will return to action on Wednesday, October 27th when they will be at home to face the College of Wooster at 7:00 p.m.
