2004 WITTENBERG INVITATIONAL...
CLEVELAND , OH (September 25, 2004) -The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team finished 1-3 at the Wittenberg Invitational held September 24-25.
In Friday's matches, the Spartans fell to Defiance College (30-25, 32-30, 30-28) and Ohio Northern (30-27, 30-23, and 30-26). Case came back Saturday and won their first match against Allegheny College (30-25, 25-30, 30-25, 26-30, 15-11). Later in the day however, the Spartans were defeated by Calvin College (30-25, 30-14, 30-17) to finish out the tournament.
Leading the way for Case was senior middle hitter Kimberly Morris (Shelby Township, MI) who was named to the All-Tournament team.
The Spartans will next travel down Cedar Road to face local rival John Carroll in a 7:00 p.m. match this Wednesday, September 29th.
