#5 CASE 2, CHICAGO 1 (OT)...
CHICAGO, IL (October 26, 2007) -
Kevin Bigart (pictured) couldn't have asked for a better homecoming, as the Naperville, IL native scored the game winning goal in overtime to give the No. 5 ranked Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team a 2-1 victory over the University of Chicago this afternoon in the Windy City. 
The Spartans (12-3-1) and Maroons (6-8-1) were knotted at a 1-1 tie in overtime when Bigart headed a ball from Justin Steggerda (Johnston, IA) in the 95th minute to give the Spartans the victory, putting them at 3-2 in the University Athletic Association, while dropping Chicago to 1-3-1.
Matt Paglia (Pittsburgh, PA) scored his team-best eighth goal of the season in the 54th minute, with Steggerda earning the assist.
The Spartans took 12 shots on the afternoon, while holding the Maroons to six.
The team will travel to St. Louis on Oct. 28 to take on Washington University in another UAA match up.
