CLEVELAND, OH (October 6, 2007) -
Junior Matt Paglia (Pittsburgh, PA - pictured) scored two goals, as the No. 7 ranked Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team defeated Brandeis University, 3-0, at Case Field. 
The Spartans took an early 1-0 advantage when junior Kevin Bigart (Naperville, IL) scored his third goal of the season on a penalty kick 11:12 into the game.
Paglia would add two more goals in the 64th and 70th minute of the game to bring the Spartan lead to 3-0 and ensured the Homecoming victory in front of 400+ fans at Case Field.
The Spartans totaled 12 shots (eight on goal) on the afternoon, while Zeyad Schwen (Cincinnati, OH) and the Spartan defense limited Brandeis to only seven shots (six on goal) on the afternoon. Chad Skidmore (Centerville, OH) notched his seventh shutout of the season in the victory.
The team's next game is on Oct. 12 against Emory University. Game time is 5:00 p.m. at Case Field.
