MEN'S SOCCER — 2007

CLEVELAND, OH (October 2, 2007) - It was a defensive battle, but the Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team (8-2) fell short, as the Falcons from Notre Dame College (8-2-1) pulled the upset, knocking off the No. 2 ranked Spartans, 1-0, in overtime.

The teams went scoreless through regulation, as both the Spartans and the Falcons took seven shots, but were unable to connect for a goal.

NDC's Danny Bartulovic scored the game winning goal 94:05 into the game to give his team their eighth win of the season, and the second loss in-a-row for the Spartans.

Senior goalkeeper Chad Skidmore (Centerville, OH – pictured) started and played 45 minutes in the game, saving one shot. Junior Konrad Karasek (Prospect Hts., IL) played 55 minutes, saving three shots.

The team will play again at home for Homecoming on Oct. 6 against Brandeis University at 1:00 p.m.
