CLEVELAND, OH (September 20, 2006) -
The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team defeated Capital University 1-0 in double overtime tonight at Case Field. The Spartans entered the game ranked sixth in the Great Lakes region and Captial (3-3-1) 10th.
Sophomore forward Kevin Bigart (Naperville, IL) made a beautiful pass to sophomore forward R.J. French (Zionsville , IN-pictured), who scored the game winner at the 106:54 mark.
The Spartans improve to 6-0-1 and have not allowed a goal in the past five games. Junior goalkeeper Chad Skidmore (Centerville , OH) played all 106 minutes and 54 seconds of the game and had five saves.
Case has outscored their opponents 18-1 this season. The Spartans will look to stay unbeaten at home September 23 at 7:00 p.m. against Heidelberg College.
