CLEVELAND, OH (September 6, 2006) -
The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team turned in their third straight stellar performance of the year tonight.
The Spartans beat Seton Hill University 2-0 at Case Field to improve to 3-0 on the season. Sophomore forward RJ French (Zionsville, IN-pictured) scored the first goal of the evening at 25:47. Case kept the pressure on throughout the rest of the half, but did not score again until sophomore forward Kevin Bigart's (Naperville, IL) beautiful header off a well placed corner kick from sophomore midfielder Nate Hoffman (Wilmington, DE) at 62.28.
Two goals would be more than enough due to the strong Case defense and excellent play of sophomore goalkeeper Konrad Karasek (Prospect Hts, IL), including a key penalty kick save in the first half.
Case will play Myers University September 10 at Case Field (1:30 p.m.).
