CLEVELAND, OH (September 2, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University sophomore forward RJ French (Zionsville, IN) - pictured scored a goal in the 73rd minute (73:25) today to give the Spartans a 1-0 win over DePauw University in their season opener on the road. Case will face Wabash tomorrow at the Wabash/DePauw Soccer Classic (1:00 p.m.).
French's shot hit off the left post and was assisted by sophomore midfielder Nate Hoffman (Wilmington, DE). Spartan sophomore goalkeeper Konrad Karasek (Prospect Hts., IL) made five saves in 88 minutes of work.
