CARNEGIE MELLON 2, CASE 1 ...
CLEVELAND, OH (October 17, 2004) - The Spartans (2-9-2, 0-4 UAA) lost 2-1 to Carnegie Mellon University this afternoon in a University Athletic Association match played in Pittsburgh.
Case tied the game at one a piece (1-1) in the second half at the 72:29 mark when junior midfielder Jarrod Predina (Seven Hills, OH) found the back of the net for his third goal of the year. But Carnegie Mellon's Jonathan Browne scored the games last goal at 86:13 to hand the Spartans fifth straight loss. Freshman goalkeeper Chad Skidmore (Centerville, OH) had a nice game in goal making seven saves.
Case travels to Penn State Behrend on Friday for a 3:00 p.m. match and then have the weekend off, before hosting the University of Chicago on October 29.
