CLEVELAND, OH (November 11, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University sophomore Dominic Smith-pictured (New Richmond, OH) led the team with a 29th place finish at the 2006 Great Lakes Regional Meet this afternoon in Hanover, Indiana.
Smith, who made the All-Region team, ran the eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:37.9 as the Spartans finished eighth as a team with 251 points. Calvin College won the team title with a score of 17.
Sophomore Jon Youngquist (Midland, MI) placed 38th (26:51.3) and sophomore Mike Petro (Cincinnati, OH) finished 40th (26:54.8) in the 231 runner field.
