2006 UAA CHAMPIONSHIP...
CLEVELAND, OH (October 28, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University sophomore Jon Youngquist (Midland, MI) placed 23rd out of 78 runners with a time of 26:30.38 as the Spartans finished seventh at the 2006 University Athletic Association Championship in St. Louis with 166 points. New York University claimed the men’s title with 25 points.
Mark Stevens from the University of Rochester ran the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25:25.35 to claim the individual title. Case sophomore Mike Petro-pictured (Cincinnati, OH) and sophomore Dominic Smith (New Richmond, OH) finished 32nd (26:38.76) and 33rd (26:41.18), respectively.
The Spartans are off this weekend and travel to the NCAA Regional Championship at Hanover College on November 11.
