UAA CHAMPIONSHIPS...
PITTSBURGH, PA (October 29, 2005) - Case Western Reserve University senior Stephen Hrinda (Fairview, PA) finished fifth out of 78 runners with a time of 25:32.90 at the 2005 University Athletic Association Cross Country Championships hosted by Carnegie Mellon University.
The Spartans as a team finished sixth overall with a score of 155. The host Tartans won the team (8) title with 44 points and New York University’s Hany Abdallah was the top individual performer with a time 25:17.30.
Spartan freshman Dominic Smith (New Richmond, OH) was Case’s only other top 25 finisher, placing 17th with a time of 26:15.80. The Spartans will next travel to the NCAA Regional Championship November 12 at Wilmington College.
