MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY—2005


ERIE, PA (September 17, 2005) - Case senior Stephen Hrinda (Fairview,PA) took first place in a time of 25:44 this morning at the Penn State-Behrend Invitational in Erie, PA. Hrinda's time was blazing as he beat the course record by eight seconds. The Case men's team finished second overall for the second year in a row with 51 points. Mount Union won the meet with 34 points.

Also running a great race for the Spartans was freshman Dominic Smith (New Richmond, OH) with a fourth place (26:52) overall finish. Other top 20 finishers for Case were Jason Dudas (Solon, OH) who was 13th at 27:46, Mike Petro (Cincinnati, OH) in 16th (27:57), Ryan Gjoraas (Plymouth, MN) right behind him in 17th at 27:59, and Jon Youngquist (Midland, MI) who was 19th in 28:10.

The Spartans will return to action next weekend when they run in the College of Wooster Invitational getting underway at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
