SPARTANS 2ND AT WOOSTER ...
CLEVELAND, OH (September 25, 2004) - The Case men's cross country team ran to a second place finish today on a difficult course at the Wooster Invitational. The Spartans finished with 48 points, second to Ashland University, a Division II school.
Leading the way for the Spartans, as he has done all year, was Aaron Johnston-Peck (Lakewood, OH) with a second place finish and a personal record time of 25:41. Also in the top ten for Case was senior Jeff McManus (Columbus, OH) who came in seventh and also ran a personal best time of 26:59. Rounding out the scoring for the Spartans were Jason Dudas (Solon, OH), Aaron Tainter (Portland, OR), and Tyler Youngquist who finished 14th (27:49), 15th (28:01), and 16th (28:21).
The Case men will take off the to Windy City next weekend when they take part in the Loyola of Chicago Invitational held on Saturday, October 2nd at 11:00 a.m. (CST).
