Inaugural Cross Country Alumni Extravaganza 2003!!

 

Dear Alumnus,

            Do you still have a pair of racing spikes in your basement?  Is there a chance that you have old safety pins and numbers laying around your house?  Would you admit to having urges to eat three plates of pasta on a Friday night thinking that there is a big race the next day? 

 

 Listed above are some idiosyncrasies that enable runners to build relationships that are shared outside of practice.  A famous collegiate coach once said, “Running on a team presents individuals with an opportunity to develop a tie that rivals that of a family.”  If you felt this way as an undergraduate, or if you would like to feel that way now, then this is your grand opportunity.  The 2003 CWRU Spartans are holding an Alumni Race and post-race picnic in honor of the celebrated graduates who have come through this fine program.

 

Race Details:  

            Date & Time – Saturday August 30th, 2003 – 11:00am

            Location – Squire Valleevue Farm  (directions)*

            Distance – 5000m (3.1 miles)

            T-Shirts – Provided with registration

            Awards – Awards go to the top finishers for groups based on graduating year

 

Picnic Details:

            Time - Following the completion of the race

            Crowd - Enjoy the fine company of current CWRU runners, coaches, and CWRU alumni

            Good Time - Guaranteed!!!

Accommodations will be provided by the 2003 >-C-C-> team on a first come first serve basis.  Alternate information for accommodations will be posted on the above website.
