Dominic Smith will be all alone on the trail for the first time in his collegiate career this Saturday in Northfield, Minnesota when the Case Western Reserve University junior from New Richmond, Ohio, races in the 2007 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.

Dominic Smith finishes 51st at NCAA Division III National Championships...
...Junior Dominic Smith placed 51st out of 280 student-athletes, finishing the 8,000 meter course in 25:26. Smith had placed in the top-ten in every race this season. Smith won three straight events earlier in the season, as he was victorious at the College of Wooster and Sean Earl Invitational's and then was the Division III champion at the All-Ohio Championships back in October.
...Smith and junior captain Mike Petro both were named to the 2007 Great Lakes All-Regional team and Smith was also named to the All-UAA first team.
...The Spartans return all but Matt Aehle and Tyler Youngquist for the 2008 season.
