Spartans end dream season...

...For the first time this season, the Case Western Reserve University football team ended a Saturday without a victory, as the Little Giants from Wabash College (11-1) came up big, upending the Spartans (11-1), 38-23, at Case Field to move on to the third round of the Division III NCAA Playoffs. The loss snaps a 12-game winning-streak for the Spartans and ends their record setting season.

...Sophomore quarterback Dan Whalen passed for 303 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

...Senior linebacker Tom Brew recorded 16 tackles in his final game, while senior defensive back John Tiemeir finished with 18 tackles in his final game for the Spartans. Tiemeir played in every game in all four seasons at Case (42 games).
