Adelbert Gym

Adelbert Gym

Adelbert Gym, built in 1888 for Western Reserve University , has three multipurpose courts that are used for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. The Case Western Reserve athletic department held Throwback Weekend for men's and women's basketball in the old field house in 2006 and 2007.

 

Cardio Room

Located on the second floor of the Veale Center , the Cardio Room, also made possible by a generous gift from Tink Veale, features a large number of treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair-step machines, rowing machines, stationary bikes, and a gravitron. All are available to students and faculty at Case Western Reserve.

 

Carlton Courts

The Carlton Road tennis courts consist of six regulation-size courts. These courts are available for recreation from dawn to dusk. The courts are not available during Physical Education classes, intercollegiate athletic events, intramural programs or special events.

 

Hall of Fame

Located just through the main corridor of the Veale Center , the John T. Vaughan Hall of Fame room is a shrine to all of the athletes, coaches, and figures that have been inducted into the Case Reserve Athletic Club Hall of Fame.

 

Horsburgh

Horsburgh Gymnasium is home to varsity volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and wrestling at Case. Horsburgh has a 1,600 seat capacity and received a face lift for and after the 2002 Vice Presidential [ United States ] Debate Case Western Reserve hosted.

 

Varsity Locker Room

Has over 300 lockers, available students, faculty and staff.

 

Natatorium

Used for recreational and competitive swimming, the Veale Natatorium also features the Donnell Pool, available to students, faculty, and staff. The Veale Natatorium was renovated in 2001, which included the addition of seating for 600 spectators.

 

General Locker Room

This spacious locker room features over 900 lockers, as well as plenty of clean showers and restroom facilities that are available to all students, faculty, and staff.

 

Veale Center

The Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center is the home of Case Western Reserve athletics, physical education and intramural programs. The Veale Center houses four multi-purpose courts, a six-lane indoor track named after legendary Track & Field Coach Bill Sudeck, and a multipurpose aerobics room.

 

Van Horn Field

Van Horn Field is primarily used for intramural sports (flag-football, softball, and soccer) at Case Western Reserve and special events.

 

Weight Room A

Features over 40 different Hammer Strength machines available to all students, faculty, and staff.

 

Weight Room B

Features a large number of power racks and platforms that are available to all students, faculty, and staff.

 

Weight Room Main

Features a large number of free weights and barbells, weight lifting benches, and other weight lifting devices, available to all students, staff, and faculty.

 

Women's Locker Room

Features many recently renovated showers and restroom facilities as well as over 400 lockers that are available to students, faculty, and staff.
