David Ciacci won 85 percent of his wrestling matches as a Spartan at Case Western Reserve University and was the first wrestler in the school’s modern era to win 100 career matches.nice

At the time of his induction, Ciacci was sixth on the all-time victories list with 120 wins. During his wrestling career, Ciacci was a four-year letter winner and was named team captain in 1993 and 1994. Ciacci was a national qualifier in the 134-pound weight class on three occasions and became an All-American his senior year with a fourth-place finish at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championships. Ciacci majored in materials science at Case Western Reserve and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Following graduation, he worked as an engineer with several companies and, at the time of his induction, worked as a research and development metallurgist for Miba Bearings in McConnelsville, Ohio.
