THE AUDITION PROCEDURE
MFA Acting Program
To Apply
We ask you to fill out the application form for the MFA Program and submit the Application with:
- Letter of Intent (describing why Case's program interests you)
- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Two Pictures and Resumes.

Once we have the above information, we will contact the applicant to schedule an audition/interview time in the city of their choice.
The Audition
We ask you to prepare two contrasting pieces (one Modern, one Shakespearean Verse) with a combined time of no more than 3 minutes in length. Auditions will be held on the dates and at the sites listed below:
CLEVELAND: January 17, 2009 (The Cleveland Play House)
NEW YORK CITY: January 25-28, 2009 (TBA)
CHICAGO: February 1-4, 2009 (TBA)
Audition time will be provided at the time of scheduling your audition.
While we do accept videotape auditions, they are not encouraged. Only applicants for whom travel to one of the regular audition sites is completely impossible should submit tapes. Taped submissions must be made using half-inch VHS cassettes, and return is not guaranteed. The content of the video audition should be exactly the same as for an audition in person. Please do not submit unedited show tapes.
Financial Aid Information
The Case-Cleveland Play House provides each graduate student with complete financial support. The full financial package (which includes full Case tuition waiver) totals $39,100, and includes a stipend of approximately $11,000 per academic year.
The application deadline for the MFA Acting program is two weeks prior to the city/date you have chosen for your audition.
