Professor Albers is a professional actress, and teacher in the Theater Department, where she is Director of Undergraduate Theater Studies. She also teaches in the MFA Acting program. Catherine is a certified Master Teacher of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique, the first to be so by the Michael Chekhov Association. She has taught this Technique throughout the United States and in Europe.

She is a member of Actors' Equity Association, SAG and AFTRA and has performed on many local stages as well as professional theaters throughout the country. She has won many awards for her teaching and acting and runs an acting studio for professional actors in Cleveland. She also does professional coaching and serves on the local board of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).

Catherine has performed in roles as diverse as Dr. Vivian Bearing in the Dobama Theatre production of Wit and Clariee in Steel Magnolias at Porthouse Theatre. She performs in film and television and maintains a career as a leading voice over artist.  For more information, go to catherinealbers.com.
