Graduate Studies: CLASS OF 2006

 

Elizabeth DavisELIZABETH A. DAVIS

Elizabeth appeared as Hilda Manney in Room Service, Annie in The Real Thing, Donna in Hurlyburly, and Cherie in Bus Stop.  This summer she appeared in Great Lakes Theater Festival's productions of You Can't Take it With You (Alice) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (Ann Page).  Selected credits include the productions of Arcadia, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Pygmalion, The Oresteia, and She Loves Me.  Miss Davis is a violinist and is a 2006 Miss America Academic Scholarship recipient.  JER. 29:11

 

Nicole FitzpatrickNICOLE FITZPATRICK

Ms. Fitzpatrick is in the third year of her MFA training, having appeared in The Real Thing (Charlotte), Hurly Burly (Darlene), and Bus Stop (Grace), as well as reading the title role in The Cleveland Play House's Next Stage Festival reading of Swann. This summer she appeared in the Kennedy Center's Page to Stage festival. She will be performing in the Case Repetory in the fall of 2005 as Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Leontine in Triumph of Love. She plans to return to her home state of New York in May of '06 upon completion of her MFA.

 

 

 

Samuel HollowayJOSHUA JOHN McKAY

Joshua is originally from California where he also received a BA in Musical Theatre from the University of the Pacific.  Here at The Cleveland Play House Joshua John has been seen as Dr. Lyman in Bus Stop, Phil in Hurlyburly, Henry in The Real Thing, and Leo Davis in Room Service.  Some other memorable roles include Joseph Surface in The School for Scandal, Sinex in .Forum, Tiresias in Oedipus Rex and Whizzer in Falsettoland, and as Curtis in The Taming of the Shrew at Great Lakes.  Joshua John is also a published playwright, a certified mixologist and proudly sits on the Development Committee of The Play House.

 

Joshua John McKayJASON MILLER

Before attending Grad school Mr. Miller worked throughout the country in theater and touring troops.  Some of his professional credits include The Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance, Snoopy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Zach in A Chorus Line, Danny Zuko in Grease, Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, Rev. Oglethorpe in Smoke on The Mountain, and Will Parker in Oklahoma. He resided in Los Angeles where he made appearances on ER, Becker, Beverly Hills 90210, and Haunted Hollywood for the History Channel.  Since attending CWRU Jason has played Bo Decker in Bus Stop, Artie in Hurlyburly, Max in The Real Thing, Demetrius & Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hermocrate in The Triumph of Love and appeared in the Cleveland Play House mainstage productions of Room Service, A Streetcar Named Desire and Well.  Jason hails from Hamilton, Ohio and has strong family ties in Northern Kentucky where he received his BFA in Musical Theater from Northern Kentucky University.

 

Jason MillerLELUND THOMPSON

Thompson, a native of North Carolina, received his BFA from North Carolina A&T State University. He was most recently seen as Oberon in the MFA production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Billy in The Real Thing and as Eddie in Hurlyburly. Other credits include, Waiting for Lefty, Swann, Paper Armor, The Dew Point, Bus Stop, Five Guys Named Moe, The Glass Menagerie, Two Trains Running, Black Nativity, and the Great Lakes Theater Festival's production of The Taming of the Shrew.  Thompson is the first recipient of the Chloe and Frederick Alan Oldenburg MFA Scholarship.

 

Lelund ThompsonBAILEY VARNESS

While in this program, Bailey has performed in such productions as Bus Stop (Elma), Hurlyburly (Bonnie), The Real Thing (Debbie), Triumph of Love (Corine) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania, Hippolita). Regionally, she has performed the role of Edna in Charenton Theater’s production of Waiting for Lefty and Linda in The Tyst Scandinavian Festival’s production of Dead and Gone to Granny’s. She has also performed in Jesus Christ Superstar and Trumpet in the Land at the Schoenbrun Amphitheater.
