Collaborative Arrangements

The Elderly Care Research Center is affiliated with the Center of Aging and Health at CWRU. ECRC trainees may enroll in the Gerontology Certificate program offered at CWRU through the Center. ECRC has co-sponsored exhibits with the Center at the National Gerontological Society of America meetings and Research Day presentations at CWRU.

Our staff also actively cooperates with the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center which offers continuing education programs to practitioners and health care professionals. There are regularly scheduled interactions between ECRC and the staff of Benjamin Rose Institute. In addition, research seminars are presented by the Comprehensive Cancer and Aging Center at CWRU, offering opportunities for informal exchanges on research progress, methodological challanges, and developments.

The Elderly Care Research Center operates in close collaboration with the Cleveland State University Center on Applied Gerontological Research. Professors Z. Harel and B. Kahana serve as training faculty for the postdoctoral training program in Social Aspects of Mental Health which is conducted by our Center.
