SAMUEL ROSENTHAL CENTER FOR
JUDAIC STUDIES

Bringing world renowned scholars and enriching opportunities to Judaic Studies at Case.

Welcome!

The Samuel Rosenthal Center for Judaic Studies was founded at Case Western Reserve University through a generous endowment grant from the Samuel Rosenthal Foundation. It was established in 1996 to broaden the scope of Case's Jewish Studies curriculum and to strengthen interest in Judaic Studies on campus and throughout the local, national, and international communities. The Center supports a variety of initiatives, including visiting professorships, guest lectures, student scholarships and prizes, symposia, and acquisition of library materials.

Dr. Peter Haas, Abba Hillel Silver Chair of Jewish Studies, serves as the Center's director with the support of an Advisory Committee drawn from the Case campus and Cleveland area communities.
