Dr. Judith S. Neulander

Judith S. Neulander received a Master Degree from the UCLA Folklore and Mythology/World Arts and Cultures Program, and a Ph.D. in Folklore with a specialty in Judaics from Indiana University, Bloomington (2001).  She joined Case faculty in the Department of Religious Studies in 2003, teaching courses in Jewish culture and religion, folklore and religion, and related topics. In 2004 she became Co-Director of the Judaic Studies Program with Peter Haas, and she is editor of the newly launched JDST e-Journal.  Her research focuses on religion, arts, and related sciences through a folkloristic lens.  She has published widely on these subjects, has been an associate producer of folklore programming for PBS, and has created a number of museum exhibitions across the country.
