African American Museum

Cleveland Botanical Garden

Seven acres of gardens open to the public. Gardens include the Western Reserve Herb Society Garden , Japanese Garden , Rose Garden, Reading Garden and Wild Flower Garden. Gift shop on premises. Cleveland Botanical Garden sponsors many classes, symposia and lectures. Call ahead for group tours.

As Cleveland 's forum for interpreting culture through contemporary visual art, they connect their visitors to the dynamic art and ideas of our times. More than 350 interactive exhibits, including piloting a blimp, entering virtual reality and analyzing a baseball swing. The museum also includes an OMNIMAX theater.
Science Center Hours: daily 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Wed 9 a.m.-7 p.m. June 13 thru Sept. 1.
OMNIMAX Theater Hours: Hourly shows Mon - Fri 11 a.m.-4 p.m. with last show at 4 p.m.; Sat & Sun 11 a.m.-6 p.m. with last show at 6 p.m.

Extended Hours: May 25-August 31 the museum will stay open Saturday evenings until 9:00 p.m.

Mentor Marsh Nature Center

Nature preserve with trails open daily, dawn to dusk. Season opens in April. Tours available for groups. Call for information.
Hours: From mid-April (after Earth Day) through October, the Marsh House is open weekends from noon to 5 pm. Winter hours (November through April) are from noon to 5 pm the first Sunday of each month. A public program is offered at 2 pm each Sunday the center is open; programs for groups are by appointment.
