Noyce opportunities for mid-year juniors
Are you in the first semester of your junior year and beginning to think about a teaching career in biology, chemistry, physics, or mathematics? Current juniors who meet the scholarship and licensure criteria can apply to be a Noyce scholar and begin their Noyce scholarship in the second semester of their junior year. Completed applications are due in the Office of Teacher Education by Monday, November 23, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
Second semester juniors will enroll in EDUC 325-2 and complete EDUC 325-1 in the Fall semester of their senior year, in addition to satisfying the requirements for licensure under the Case Western Reserve University-John Carroll University collaborative program for teacher licensure. Noyce scholars beginning their fellowships in January will receive $7,500 in scholarship for their junior year and $15,000 for their senior year. Their post-graduation teaching commitment will be three years, completed within eight years after graduation from CWRU. Please read all the web pages for complete information.
