This site has been set up to address the writing needs of Case students, faculty, and community members. It is being updated continually; thank you for your patience.

Writing Center Hours

The Writing Center will resume its usual hours of operation at the start of the Fall 2006 term (9am to 4pm). Appointments may be booked through the TutorTrac system.

The Writing Instructors at the Writing Center are available for appointments through the online scheduling system (TutorTrac). To make an appointment, click here and use your Case Network ID and password (e.g., abc123 + password). Please note: the TutorTrac system will only allow you to make appointments with 24-hours' advance notice. If you need an appointment within the next 24 hours, please call (368.3799) or write ( and we will try to accommodate your request. Thank you for your patience!

During the academic year, undergraduates also have the option of making appointments with the SAGES Peer Writing Crew, a group of SAGES veterans with expertise in writing and writing instruction.  Appointments with the Crew are available through the TutorTrac system.

Transfer Placement Exam - Spring 2006 Results

If you took the Exam on 8/28/06, your results are available here. Results are keyed to the number on your test book. If you have forgotten that number, please contact the Writing Center at 368-3799 for more information. If you receive a "Proficient" on the examination, you have fulfilled your composition requirement for Case. If you receive a recommendation for "Further Work=ENGL 180," you will need to pass (wtih a "C" or better) the 1-credit writing tutorial (i.e., ENGL 180) in order to complete your composition requirement for graduation - please contact the Writing Center to enroll in the course.
