Undergraduate Study in English

Case's English Department combines the resources and opportunities of a research university with the intimate scale of a four-year liberal arts college. The department emphasizes close, direct exchanges between faculty and students, both in the classroom (where discussion is often favored over lecturing) and in advising, paper conferences, tutorials, and extra-curricular programs. In the same spirit, rather than prescribing in detail a uniform curriculum for every student, the department's programs are deliberately flexible enough to respond to individual needs and interests.
