Life in a Fortress:Grünwald Castle in the Isar Valley.

Day 4
Highlights of 500 years of Painting and Architecture:Visit to the Pinakothek, Munich's world-famous art gallery.

Day 5
Life in the 16th Century:Visit to spectacular Renaissance Wasserburg on the river Inn.

Days 6/7
Weekend Options:Spend the weekend in picturesque medieval Nördlingen in a youth hostel situated in a medieval building! Take the train to Regensburg on the Danube to see its spectacular gothic cathedral or to Renaissance Augsburg, home of Bert Brecht, and also of the Fuggers who got rich by financing European emperors, and famous by supporting the poor.
