The first book given to the Cleveland Medical Library Association when it was founded in 1894 was the 1555 edition of Andreas Vesalius' De Humani Corporis Fabrica. Since then, Vesalius has been joined by about 60,000 other books to make up the Library's rare book collection today. These books date from the late 14th century into the 20th century.
