Globesight

Globesight is a software tool developed in the Systems Engineering and Mathematics Department at Case which uses real world data to model global and sustainable development scenarios. As part of the Global-problematique Education Network Initiative (GENIe) of UNESCO, Globesight was designed in conjunction with a global issues course taught at Case for the last 10 years. GENIe is a world-wide consortium of secondary schools and schools of higher education who are collectively addressing these issues. Hathaway Brown has been piloting Globesight on the secondary level locally as part of their AP Statistics class and plans to use it as part of their social science, history, biology, and psychology course work. In addition, Gilmour Academy will be offering similar course work this fall. This curriculum is intended to be suitable for any public or private school that is looking to strengthen their mathematics and science education through the use of model development and real scientific data.
