The CWRU CPL projects focus on acoustic and articulographic analyses of coarticulation in normal and disordered speech production, and on analysis  of coordination of prosody with articulation (in collaboration with the joint Laboratory for Applied Research in Cognitive Semiotics).

Research is oriented towards applications to improvement of assessment and treatment for speech disorders, to development of techniques for automatic prosody stylization in speech synthesis, and to development of a prototype robot wheelchair driven by speech commands.
