Dr. Yohannes Haile-Selassie is a paleoanthropologist at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Anthropology. In 2019, he was named by Nature magazine as one of the top people in science in recognition of his important work on human evolution.

Searching for human origins, paleoanthropology, vertebrate paleontology with particular emphasis on the Late Miocene faunal evolution in East Africa, and Late Miocene paleobiogeography and paleoecology.
