Faculty Positions in Chemistry and Macromolecular Science

CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY invites applications for two faculty positions, one in Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences and one in Macromolecular Science and Engineering in the Case School of Engineering. Candidates must be committed to excellence in interdisciplinary research and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Ph. D. required. Candidates for Assistant Professor should have publications in refereed journals. Postdoctoral experience, although optional, is preferred. Candidates for Associate Professor (resp. Professor) are expected to have a strong record of publications and research funding and to have gained national (resp. international) reputation.

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY seeks to add an outstanding faculty member with interest in experimental research in Energy and Materials as broadly defined, a current thrust area in the Department and across campus. Candidates at the Assistant Professor level are preferred. Normal teaching load for faculty with active research programs is one course per semester plus ancillary duties. DEPARTMENT OF MACROMOLECULAR SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING has a long-standing tradition of excellence in polymer research and innovation in teaching and scholarship. To provide continued leadership in the field, the Department has added seven new faculty members over the past nine years. We now seek applications for an additional outstanding faculty member. Outstanding candidates with expertise in all frontier areas of polymer chemistry will be considered, although particular emphasis will be given to those in Energy or Biomedical related fields. Candidates at the Associate Professor level with established credentials in teaching and independent research are preferred.
