Graduate Research
Graduate students participate in an interdisciplinary research program on the synthesis, characterization and applications of metallic and metal oxide nanomaterials in plant nanotechnology, cancer detection and therapy, and fuel cell catalytic research.
Undergraduate Research
Motivated undergraduate students are encouraged to take part in our research on functional nanomaterials. Students will be involved in the synthesis, functionalization and magneto-opto-electronic characterization of metal and metal oxide nanomaterials. Please contact Prof. Samia by e-mail for further inquiry.
High School Student Research Training
High school students are very welcome to have a research training experience in our lab. Please request your school student Adviser to contact Prof. Samia by e-mail for further inquiry.
Postdoctoral Position
A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Department of Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University under the direction of Prof. Anna C. Samia. Candidates with strong background in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be involved in a research project to study the magneto-optoelectronic properties of metal/metal oxide heterostructured nanomaterials. Experience in electrochemistry is a plus. Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, publications involving nanomaterials synthesis and applications, and excellent oral and written communication skills. To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and the name of three references, to anna.samia@case.edu.
