The Horticulture Science Center, with more than 15,000 sq. ft. of laboratory, office, and greenhouse space, is a modern research facility and greenhouse/headhouse area that houses the Science and Research Department. Laboratories are undergoing renevations and are currently configured for plant genetics, molecular ecology, biogeochemistry, and soil/plant analysis. Below are photos of the labs and instrumentation.

The Holden Natural Areas consist of approximately 1,500 hectares of mature forest remants, including some of the best remaining examples of Beech-Maple and Oak-Maple forests in Ohio. Some of these forest remnants are part of the National Natural Landmarks program.
