Graduate Research Grants

Application Deadline:  October 27, 2007

Graduate Research Assistance Grants are available to graduate students in the humanities and related disciplines in the Case College of Arts and Sciences to help defray expenses associated with dissertation-level research but nont covered by departmental funds.

• travel to libraries or collections
• microfilming or photography of research materials
• purchase of equipment (not including computer hardware)
• other expenses as may arise directly germane to dissertation research
• travel to conferences and symposia directly related to a dissertation topic for consultation

• Applicant information (address, phone number, email)
• a covering letter from the student explaining the project
• a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s dissertation advisor or research director and that the dissertation prospectus has been approved by the student's committee
• verification by the candidates advisory that Ph.D. requirements have been completed
• an estimated budget
