Recent breakthroughs at Case extend co-extrusion process technology to the nanoscale, thereby making it possible to fabricate films with many thoughts of layers. The NSF Science and Technology Center for Layered Polymeric Systems (CLiPS) led by Case promotes rapid groth of this nanoscale technology and facilitates its translation to the commercial sector through innovative research and education partnerships.

Mary E. Davis, Assistant Professor of Music and Associate Director of the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities
309 Clark Hall
With the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in its backyard, CWRU is able to connect students, faculty, and alumni to the music that forms the soundtrack of everyday life in ways that other colleges and universities can only dream about. Since the day the Rock Hall opened its doors a dozen years ago, we've been building an institutional partnership that brings our campus community into contact with high-profile performers, scholars, curators, journalists, and industry professionals in order to shine a light on the music and its meaning for American culture and society. This presentation explores some highlights of the collaboration, including the flagship American Music Masters project, the development of a popular music curriculum at CWRU, and a variety of programs that reach beyond the classroom into the community. And, of course, it features a healthy dose of rock and roll!
