ALUMNI RELATIONS

future alumni.

The Office of Alumni Relations offers a number of exciting programs to future Case Western Reserve University alumni (a.k.a. students). These programs are offered to increase student involvement on campus and to enrich university traditions while preparing students for life as active Case Western Reserve University alumni.

Student Alumni Association
SAA provides opportunities for current students to interact and build relationships with alumni through various social and professional programs offered throughout the year.

Mystery Bus Tours
This initiative aims to provide those second year students the opportunity to explore Cleveland and their broader interests with Alumni. These tours take 25 second-year students to an undisclosed location in Cleveland. Past locales have included Jacobs Field, the Browns Stadium, Cleveland Auto Show, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Typically these tours are behind the scenes and offer sites not normally granted to the public. Although you might not know where you are going, you can rest assured that you will be in for an exciting trip!

Senior Send-Off
All undergraduates are invited to attend the Senior Send-Off. The Senior Send-Off is the end of the year party held immediately following the undergraduate commencement rehearsal. Graduating students will have the opportunity to celebrate with classmates and Case Western Reserve University alumni just before graduation.

Family Weekend

Family Weekend is a time to welcome families to the Case campus and the Cleveland community. Through on-campus programming by students, events that connect families with faculty and staff, and excursions to the surrounding communities, Family Weekend provides a fun, unique opportunity for Case students to share campus life with their families. University Alumni Relations will be sponsoring an Alumni House open house during the day, and a wine tasting/reception in the evening.

Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Tailgate Party
Show your Case pride and spirit by participating in the annual Homecoming Tailgate Party during our Alumni Weekend and Homecoming celebration!

Mid-Year Graduates Reception
Students who will be awarded their degrees in January are honored during a special graduation celebration every December.

Summer on the Cuyahoga Internship Program
The Summer on the Cuyahoga program is an exciting experiential learning
opportunity. High-quality, paid internships are combined with community introductions, alumni networking opportunities, housing, and civic and social events here in Cleveland. The program brings together students from Case, Princeton, Yale, Colgate and Smith. Positions are posted starting in January of each school year.

Hudson Relay
This fun 26-mile footrace commemorates Western Reserve College's 1882 move from Hudson, Ohio to University Circle. It features student, faculty, and alumni teams. This longstanding tradition was first held in 1910 and was run from Western Reserve College in Hudson to the Adelbert Rocks behind Adelbert Hall.

Regional Programs
The Office of Alumni Relations, Programs, and Events also partners with other university departments to uphold tradition, promote community within the university and Cleveland, elevate Spartan spirit, and to just plain have fun.

Regional Programs
Regional Programs exists to connect, engage and serve the university's diverse alumni and students. This outreach is achieved through strong leadership, dynamic programs and effective communication. Find Case events near your hometown (or in cities where you are interested in relocating) to make connections and network with alumni in your field. Build professional contacts that could lead to lasting relationships.

Summer Send-Offs
Every summer, Case alumni chapters across the country wish incoming and returning students a successful year. Students and parents are invited to informal get-togethers with Case alumni and staff for an update on campus life.

Career Networking Receptions

Career networking receptions are hosted by the alumni chapters of four major cities (Chicago, New York, Washington D.C. and Cleveland). These events allow alumni to network with each other and students to network with alumni in cities close to their hometowns.

Case for Community Day
This campus wide community service day brings together Case's wealth of resources to significantly benefit surrounding neighborhoods while creating a sense of unity.

Thank you for making Alumni Weekend and Homecoming such a success! We'll see you next year!
