Second Life Cleveland continues to grow
Cleveland is a virtual boomtown. Building goes on at a rapid pace, the Euclid Corridor Project is finished, and Terminal Tower looms over an unpotholed Public Square. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has moved, but it's still in town.
The keyword is "virtual." The boomtown is Cleveland Plus, the interactive, three-dimensional cyber-city launched one year ago by Case Western Reserve University. From one "island," or region, in the online virtual world of Second Life, it has grown to five. It has hosted concerts and seminars, tutorials and tours, conferences and casual meetings, and it has more applications ahead.
"We're not promoting it as a sort of Woodstock, but we're engaged in lots of different kinds of activities," said Lev Gonick, the visionary vice president and chief information officer at Case who conceived the project three years ago. "There's tons going on." Full Story

The Parent Fund
Private support is the difference between a great education and a first-rate learning experience.

As tuition covers only a portion of the true cost of a Case Western Reserve University education, the Parent Fund makes a critical difference by supporting programs that enhance student life, transforming an undergraduate degree into a life-changing experience.
Gifts to the Parent Fund are directed to the Office of Student Affairs and support such valuable programs as career counseling, student activities and leadership programs, community-based service projects, academic support, and physical wellness opportunities.
These initiatives provide limitless opportunities for student enrichment and distinguish Case Western Reserve University as a world-class educational institution.

If you would like to make a gift to the Parent Fund, please visit our online giving site at , or contact the Office of Annual Giving at (800) 304-4483.
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
