University Time-Honored Traditions

The 6th Annual Case for Community Day,
Friday, September 19, 2008

Case for Community Day is the university’s campus-wide community service day that enables Case employees, students and local alumni to serve as volunteers to help make a positive difference in Cleveland. Launched in 2003 by the Staff Advisory Council (SAC), Case for Community Day is designed to use the university’s wealth of resources to significantly benefit our surrounding neighborhoods while creating a sense of collaboration throughout the university.

Nearly 1,400 faculty, staff, students and local alumni have participated as volunteers with nearly 200 local non-profit organizations since its inception. In addition to service, we raise funds for our Charity Choice partners comprised of non-profit agencies from United Way, Community Shares and Earth Shares. Since 2001, nearly 4,000 campus employees have donated close to $1 million. More Information
