CommencementCONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2007

The Alumni Association of Case Western Reserve University would like to officially congratulate the graduating class of 2007 and welcome you as the university’s newest alumni!

The university-wide Commencement Convocation is a time of celebration in the lives of students, faculty, guests, and the entire university community, for it reflects the accomplishments of past years and sets a course for new ventures.  This year’s keynote speaker is Richard Lederer, author of more than 30 books about language and humor—including the best-selling Anguished English series.

All alumni are invited to hear the keynote address and to witness the diploma ceremonies via live streaming video and Webcam. Live stream video will begin at 9:00 a.m. EST on Sunday, May 20.

The webcast schedule for Commencement ceremonies is as follows:
University Convocation – 9:00 a.m.
Undergraduate Diploma Ceremony – 11:00 a.m.
Graduate Studies Diploma Ceremony – 1:30 p.m.
Weatherhead School of Management Diploma Ceremony – 4:00 p.m.

For additional information regarding the webcast of Commencement ceremonies and the Commencement-cam located in Veale Center, visit the Commencement website.

Commencement weekend is also Reunion weekend for the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and the School of Dental Medicine.

Continue our proud tradition by making an Annual Fund gift today!

"I am very grateful for my scholarship because it has allowed me to pursue my goals by relieving some of the financial pressures faced by any graduate student."
Kinjal Shah, Class of 2009

School of LawHelp our students by supporting the School of Law Annual Fund! The support of alumni and friends is critical to the daily education of law students and the future of the law school. The involvement of alumni and friends is a hallmark of Case Western Reserve University School of Law and its success. Giving back to the law school by providing financial support or volunteering time to meet with applicants, counsel job seekers or judge moot court competitions, alumni and friends truly make a difference!

Did you know that:

  • The Annual Fund is used in the same year that it is received, thereby having an immediate impact on the quality of a Case Western Reserve University School of Law education.
  • Gifts to the Annual Fund provide support for student initiatives, such as the Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine, a student-edited health law journal ranked the highest among law school specialty journals.
  • Gifts to the Annual Fund allow us to continue providing innovative programs, such as CaseArc which integrates traditional legal instruction with cutting-edge skills training to ensure our graduates are the most well-prepared lawyers in the country.
  • Gifts to the Annual Fund allow us to provide additional scholarships to attract and retain the best and brightest students regardless of their financial circumstances.
  • Tuition only covers about 80% of the actual cost of educating our students; therefore, it is the generous support of our alumni and friends that allows each student to receive the quality education they deserve.

Opportunities are also available to donors who would like to restrict their gifts for specific purposes. Contributions can be made as Planned Gifts, which can provide valuable tax, income, and estate planning benefits for the donor and his or her family. Memorial or Tribute Gifts and Endowment Funds can help you honor a special person, event or occasion while providing longstanding support. Participating in the Matching Gifts program allows gifts to be matched by employers, doubling the impact of each gift.

The School of Law is grateful for the continued support of its alumni and friends! We hope we can count you among our generous supporters!

We can help you through any of the giving opportunities available, or to inquire about other ways to get involved with the School of Law. Contact us at 216-368-3017 or click here to make a gift online today!
