Join in the Fun....Register to Run!
This fun 26-mile footrace commemorates Western Reserve College's 1882 move from Hudson, Ohio, to University Circle. It features student, faculty, and alumni teams. The first race was held in 1910 and was run from Western Reserve College in Hudson, OH, to the Adelbert Rocks behind Adelbert Hall. In 1990, due to safety and traffic concerns, the race changed to 26 miles around the campus and University Circle.
Each year a commemorative run still takes place from Hudson to Cleveland. In 2001 and 2002, students from Western Reserve Academy ran this commemorative route. The runners carry a message from the headmaster of Western Reserve Academy to the President of Case.
The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Activities; the Office of University Alumni Relations; and the University Program Board. |
