Baiju R. Shah

Baiju R. Shah is president and CEO of BioEnterprise, an initiative to support the growth of bioscience companies in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University and other community partners. Shah initiated the Summer on the Cuyahoga program, which establishes paid student internships with major area businesses—with the ultimate goal of recruiting top talent to Cleveland. The Newton D. Baker Distinguished Service Award is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to the university, without regard to alumni status.

Shah has been named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and has been recognized as one of Cleveland’s most influential leaders. A Cleveland native, he received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University.
