Millions of people actively participate everyday in the underground economy associated with the distribution, sales and use of illegal drugs. Local communities are devastated by the personal, social, legal, public health and economic costs of this parallel economy.

How do scientists collect and analyze data on this hidden economic system?

How does the history of this problem enlighten our understanding?

How does this work inform policy and the war on drugs?

Come to June's Science Café Cleveland to discuss these issues and more!
