J. Glen Smith (JGS) is a small, family-oriented health center located in Glenville to promote preventive health care, operating in conjunction with the Cleveland Department of Public Health. The health center is supported by MetroHealth, which offers its full range of services. Anyone is welcome to take advantage of the internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and preventative health services offered at JGS.

Urban League of Greater Cleveland

The Urban League of Greater Cleveland is a non-profit social service organization, connected to the National Urban League as one of 97 affiliates in 36 states. As a funded community partner of United Way of Greater Cleveland, the League seeks to improve the economic, cultural, social and educational conditions affecting all citizens of Cuyahoga County.

United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland

Since its inception in 1981, the United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland, Inc. has financially assisted many nonprofit organizations in the Greater Cleveland Area. An important part of the philosophy is to insure that nonprofit charitable organizations serving the poor, Black, and other minorities receive an equitable share of the charitable dollars. United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland, Inc. (UBF) funds over 80 nonprofit agencies annually. These agencies serve thousands of children, families, and seniors throughout Northeast Ohio. In addition to funding, UBF provides an annual Grantsmanship Workshop, and Informational Forums to the public, free of charge. UBF continues to forge new alliances with people that share a commitment to informing and educating the community on issues affecting their daily lives; and is an affiliate of the United Way Services.
