Two elegant turn-of-the-century mansions house one of the nation's best
collections of American furniture, art and apparel. The centerpiece is
the Hay-McKinney mansion built in 1911. The Chisholm Halle costume Wing
has more than 30,000 pieces of clothing, shoes, hats, gloves and other
accessories. It is one of the top-ranked costume collections in the nation,
showcasing garments from the late 1700s to the present. Rotating special
exhibitions feature topics ranging from Dr. Seuss to the Titanic.
