In 1815, the Harper Family constructed a home that was considered a mansion in its day. Three successive generations preserved written records, furnishings, tools and family traditions. Seventeen rooms include the original cellar kitchen, formal parlor with American Empire furniture and a banquet room with coved ceiling and French wallpaper.
